FXQU_A1 IC Markets

Firing up a live ic markets ECN pro account to have a clean restart of trading history.  FXQU_A1 Sapphire will continue but it contains some early trading history during debugging prior to August 1st.  A stable version of FXQU_A1 was operating across all accounts following August 1st 2017.

The new account will be called FXQU_A1 Ruby

FXQU_A1 update... Nothing really

FXQU_A1_MME has completed over 89,000 trades now... Minor release applied over the past week but it was for cosmetic changes that will help in the deployment of new releases across each account.

Apart from that no other news...

FXQU_A1 update.. Keep going

FXQU_A1_MME has completed 86,500 trades since May.and has now doubled the equity in the account.

I am testing an updated risk management algorithm and will release shortly hopefully.  The new dedicated server handles the load very well... Vps is also running but only on standby.

FXQU dedicated server updates

Wow dedicated servers rock. All 6 robots were migrated from the vps to the dedicated server over the weekend and the performance gain is significant.  Whilst the vps CPU was flat lining at 95 to 100% the dedicated server barely breaks 10%...

The vps will now act as a standby server.

No new releases

FXQU new vps : dedicated server

The 6 robots running on my 2gb 2 CPU vps is flat lining the CPU at 100% and ram at 95%. I am moving the live account to a new dedicated server tonight with 32 gb ram and 4ghz CPU (6700k).... Will see how this goes.

Further testing on FXQU_A2 is occurring. No new releases.

FXQU_A2 sped up

I have increased the frequency of FXQU_A2... Trying to thrash out the changes it will have on performance.

The vps is really struggling to handle six instances of mt4 and each robot.  I might transition the live account to a blaze vps.

FXQU_A1_MME has completed over 80,000 trades.

Tuesday, 14 November 2017

FXQU_A1 and A2 update

All 6 robots are hammering along today... Movement in the Euro pairs and aud have caused a large number of transactions to open.  The 2 CPU 2 gb vps is struggling.

Dynamic throttling is getting a work out as the robots attempt to minimise exposure to the sudden directional movement.

No new releases...

FXQU_A2

I am looking to fire up a second version of FXQU_A... It will be FXQU_A2 and will be across G7 majors only. Hopefully will be an AxiTrader demo account. I will be using this to compare to the FXQU_A1_Majors account that is already running.

FXQU_A1 update: new minor release

I released a minor version tonight (v1.52) that contains some additional aggregated data for viewing purposes only.

FXQU_A1_MME has completed over 77,000 trades ... myfxbook can no longer handle that many transactions and doesn't update the stats for that one robot.   I am trying to source a more reliable website that can show the performance for each robot.  I hope to have an answer in the next few weeks.

I have re-written most of the website for FXQU now ... slowly its getting there.

FXQU_A1 Sapphire

I added a 5th currency pair to the live account last night.... EURGBP.

No other changes

Sunday, 5 November 2017

FXQU_A1... Majors

I added GBPJPY.pro and EURJPY.pro to the FXQU_A1_Majors robot to bring it in line with the complete G7 major currency pairs.

Looking to add another pair to the live account.. Still analysing the best pair to include.

No new releases

FXQU_A1 update... BoE

Big night tonight with the BoE expected to raise interest rates... I will be leaving all 5 robots as is to see how they handle the potential volatility.

Currently working /testing a modification to the FXQU_A1 that produces the entry signals... This maybe end up being a variant and hence named FXQU_A2....

Tuesday, 31 October 2017

FXQU_A1 update... Not much

The markets are moving again... With the BoE getting ready to raise rates and the Aussie dollar looking to move lower the robots are increasing their exposure.

The metals robot is flat at the moment due to the heavy trending of indices and commodity prices.

FXQU_A1 update... Funding

Quick update... Progressing with the commercialisation of Fxqu... This means both AFSL and NFA compliance...

In the meantime no new releases... FXQU_A1_MME has completed over 72,000 trades...

Thursday, 26 October 2017

FXQU_A1 ECB

The big ECB press conference is due in a few hours and some heavy volatility is expected... I will let the robots as is and see how they handle it.  I expect there could be some 200+ pip movements in some pairs.. Probably Euro exotics.. The stop losses may be hit is some of the smaller time frames...

No new releases since last update

Tuesday, 24 October 2017

FXQU_A1 update.. Quiet

No real news.. All five robots chugging along. Some all time highs were hit late week.. MME has now passed over 70,000 trades in 5 months.

There are some further risk management changes in the pipeline as well as some potential market volatility detection algorithms..but they are at the planning stage so far...

Tuesday, 17 October 2017

FXQU_A1 update... Metals and indices

The four fx robots are quiet at present... At one point yesterday the live account had no open trades.  The metals robot is getting heavier as it also includes indices.. The indices are at present trending strongly up across the board.  FXQU_A1 does not catch the falling or ascending knife but there are slight signs of the rally pausing.. The robot will act on these and so I expect much heavier positions in the next few days.  The rally is crazy.. But let's see what FXQU_A1 does.

Monday, 16 October 2017

FXQU_A1 update... So quiet on G4

FXQU_A1_MME has passed 66,000 trades and has almost hit its all time high in return.

FXQU_A1_Majors_T1 is at a new high and has closed all but 4 trades.

No new releases but some modifications are being developed.

FXQU_A1 metals rounding

Minor release was deployed on Friday night that addressed a rounding bug for non-forex instruments...

Quiet Monday otherwise...

Thursday, 12 October 2017

FXQU_A1 metals

I have started a 5th instance of FXQU_A1 running with commodities and indices only. It's with AxiTrader and is set to low / medium frequency.

Wednesday, 11 October 2017

FXQU_A1 update.... Quietly

So the fx markets have quietened right down... The majors robots are in positive equity over balance... The minors and MME robots are over 98% in the same ratio.

I have noticed the rate of return has flattened out the past 20 days and coupled with the internal messages of the robots it seems the dynamic scaling is being invoked quite heavily... It might be turned up too high... Will analyse and assess.

Cheers Fxqu

FXQU_A1 update

Been away.. During that time GBP pairs have been running hard with the potential chat of brexit and ousting of May... There was deep market exposure for the live account however it has since calmed down and retreated. It is good to see the dynamic throttling being tested...

FXQU_A1_MME has completed over 63,000 trades.. It's up 45% since inception. All 4 robots are well positive since inception...

I am planning a new release shortly that will look at the entry for scaling. More later

FXQU_A1 update USDJPY

Reasonable position count across all 4 robots.  USDJPY pulled back from its 2 month high and this was enough for trades to close out.. It is still marching up and repositioning is happening.

FXQU_A1_MME has nearly completed 60,000 trades in 4 months...

No new releases.

Tuesday, 26 September 2017

FXQU_A1 update... EUR and GBP

Big moves by the euro and pound have led to a significant reduction in open trades the last few days and now the opposite side is opening up across related pairs.

MME has retreated in balance slightly whilst the other 3 robots have held their ground.

No new releases since the last update.

Wednesday, 20 September 2017

FXQU_A1 update.. Deep movement

Following the FOMC meeting yesterday there was significant movement across USD pairs... FXQU_A1_MME currently in full flight, which is expected as it is tuned to be high frequency... The other robots moving as well however no where near like MME.

Thinking about starting a journal of forexfactory.. I need to get the junior status promoted up before i can.  The aim is to educate potential traders on the dynamic time frames.

Anyways more high impact news coming today and tonight. No further updates to the robots.

Tuesday, 19 September 2017

FXQU_A1 update.. New minor release

I released a minor version over night that dynamically changes the TP and SL according to the current market volatility.

The robots are reasonably deep in trades at present and the movement of the GBP pairs seem poised to kick off again.

Version 1.43 is in play.

FXQU_A1_MME has completed over 55,000 trades in 3 and a half months. Profit sits around $30k. FXQU_A1_MME is configured to be high frequency... It can be set to be more than double this.. But the number of calculations will likely be too much for the current VPS..

FXQU_A1 update.. GBP holding levels

No change to the dynamic throttling. Testing the change on my custom tick fx platform indicated it was not beneficial.

In the meantime GBP holding levels... Quiet Monday morning. Robots are being stretched... The dynamic throttling is controlling the scaling and the draw down is being limited.

Thursday, 14 September 2017

FXQU_A1 update.. Changing dynamic throttling

Had a idea to smooth out the dynamic throttling for the fx robots. I will code this up and deploy over the weekend.

Overall the markets have quietened following the large push by the pound caused by the impending easing of QE in the UK.

Having robots running full tilt 24x5 is a strange mental happening.  Whilst it's great to know they punching through millions of calcs every 3 seconds it does still require patience...i can't make things happen faster.. And I don't intervene otherwise it's not 100% automated.
All good
Cheers Fxqu

FXQU_A1 update.. GBPUSD pulls back

The pound retreated over night and with this a lot of open positions were closed out.  FXQU_A1_MME kicked over the $84k mark whilst the two robots focussing on major pairs fell slightly as the scaling in over the large run closed out.

FXQU_A1_minors is still ticking along nicely... It is out performing the majors only robots which I find interesting.
Cheers Fxqu

FXQU_A1 update... GBP tearing along

The pound is on the move... Cable keeps trudging up and the positions are opening up along the way.  All 4 robots are accumulating higher numbers of trades... Let's see how this pans out.

Monday, 11 September 2017

FXQU_A1 update... New high

Since implementing the major code change to the robots in early August the turnaround in performance has been immense.  The dynamic throttling was introduced a little later and this evident in the slow down of positions being taken ie its harder for the scaling in to occur.

And so the performance of FXQU_A1_MME has just hit its all time high.  Prior to the major upgrade the balance was at $40k and in the space of a month it has recovered to over $83k.  Thousands of retail trades have been completed in that time.

All of the other 3 robots have also performed/recovered well.  It is still early days and more upgrades will come.

One of the accounts is live... But this is not visible on myfxbook.com...  Yet

FXQU_A1 update.. Usd getting hammered

The markets are awake as the usd pairs are getting hammered (usd side).  The new dynamic throttling is in full flight now (was released across the robots over a week ago), this is evident as the scaling in process has slowed.

No real change in balances... Will be an interesting night
Cheers Fxqu

Wednesday, 6 September 2017

FXQU_A1 update... Slowly waking

Bit more action evident across the 4 robots. FXQU_A1_MME has closed over 51,700 trades and is just shy of its all time high equity.

I added AUDUSD as a 4th ccy pair to FXQU_A1_Majors_test....
No new releases.

Overall the fx market is quiet.

Monday, 4 September 2017

FXQU_A1 update... Very quiet

The number of open positions and signals is very low at the moment and it likely signifies a holding pattern by the markets.

No new releases for the time being.

I have started posting the results in forexfactory however no journal entries until I get time...
Cheers Fxqu

FXQU_A1 50,000 trades closed

As of now FXQU_A1_MME has closed over 50,600 trades. The other 3 robots are much more conservative however they still number in the thousands.

The use of multiple dynamic time frames is a significant change to the conventional approach to trading.  When I get time I will attempt to start explaining the concept being used by the robots.

FXQU_A1 on forexfactory

Trying out the forexfactory trade Explorer with the robots.  FXQU_A1_MME is taking a long time to aggregate... Must be the 49,500 completed trades.

The robots deleveraged significantly over night.. Which is good.  Results on myfxbook.com...

More later

FXQU_A1 update

All 4 robots have unwound a lot of positions.. FXQU_A1_minors has hit its all time high balance whilst FXQU_A1_MME is closing in on 50,000 closed transactions.

Non farm payroll (NFP) is this Friday and it will be interesting to see how it all goes...

FXQU_A1 update

It has been interesting to see the performance of the robots since v1. 35 was deployed on August 10th. Although I have introduced dynamic throttling the robots are continuing to head higher - I am watching the draw down during this new release.

FXQU_A1_MME is fast approaching 50,000 trades since it began in May.  The results include all costs so let's see where this ends up in a few months time.

I am posting this from the mobile version of blogger so I can't include the results.. But click on earlier posts..  these have the links to the myfxbook results

FXQU_A1 update

OK so FXQU_A1_MME has saturated it's signals with over $40k worth of positions currently open. I have rolled out an update across all 4 robots that will slow down the scale in process.

Thursday, 17 August 2017

FXQU_A1 update

The latest build is running and appears to be stable.  4 robots are now running and I will keep this going for now.

FXQU_A1_MME is churning through the trades and completed over 43,000 trades.

I will post the charts over the weekend if possible

FXQU_A1 update

Morning.. Some minor changes were made to the robots and deployed last night.
FXQU_A1_MME has completed 40,000 trades in 3 months.. I will leave the number of pairs at 26 and scanned time frames at 70 per pair for now

FXQU_A1 PROGRESS VIA MOBILE

Trying out the mobile version of blogger.. Interesting.

So I have discovered the past month of running the EA was with too much throttling and with a sev 2 defect.  It is quite difficult to debug MT4 and so the value of running demos is priceless. Last night I deployed v1. 35 across all the robots. Results to follow

FXQU_A1 Progress Thursday August 3rd 2017

I've been making some changes to the repricing MQL4 code in FXQU_A1 and have just deployed a fresh version to all 3 robots.  I have restarted the Axi trader Majors demo but wont post results until the demo actually makes it past the 1 month mark (to prove it is non-expiry).

Having these demos is good as it allows some extra deployment considerations to take place - ie such as the grouping of the different settings etc.  I will post more info once the code has re-settled from this latest release.

FXQU_A1 Progress Saturday July 29th 2017

Both FXQU_A1_MME and Minors have retreated the past 8 days howeer they have unwond the majority of their open trades ... MME copped a hammering and is now $46k  .. back below the starting point.  Minors is doing much better sitting at $56k.

I did deploy a new take profit strategy across all the robots however given the curve of the profit and drawdown it is not looking likely it will stay.

MME has completed over 34,000 trades in two months .... It will be interesting to see if it can keep moving forward.

Thursday, 20 July 2017

FXQU_A1 Progress Thursday July 20th 2017

Its been a heavy past 7 days of trading and both  FXQU_A1_MME and  FXQU_A1_Minors  have unwound a lot of their positions.  MME has completed 29,000 trades and profit has dropped back a little.

I did slow down FXQU_A1_Minors and put the timeframe gap out from 20 minutes to 30 minutes.  I did the same for  FXQU_A1_MME but only for about half a day as I decided to keep it high frequency.

My test account was turned off as the robot out-ran the balance.. $1k is not enough for 3 currency pairs set out for 60 minute gaps.

All the EA now have a  modified Take Profit pattern - this was deployed approximately 3 days ago.

Wednesday, 12 July 2017

FXQU_A1 Progress Wednesday July 12th 2017

Quick update as its been a little while since the last.

FXQU_A1_MME has unwound a large number of trades today and the balance is now over $80,000.  There has been over 24,000 trades completed for this system.

FXQU_A1 Minors is performing well - the results are below for you to take a look.

I have had to remove down my Axitrade demo account (this for FXQU_Majors) as the account was not set to non-expire by Axitrade (even though they had indicated it was).

FXQU_A1_Majors_Test is my live account.  I reset the trading engine for this account when the balance reached $200 (down from $1300) - the original setting of G10 majors and 70 timeframes for each pair was too high.  It is now only 3 pairs and 47 time frames for each pair -  the pairs are AUSUSD, EURUSD and GBPUSD.   I intend to keep it like this until the balance hits $2,000 - currently half way there.

cheers

FXQU_A1 Progress Thursday 22nd June 2017

Just a quick update ..

The FXQU_A1 robot has been very active this week.  FXQU_A1_MME has completed over 13,000 trades in 4 weeks and has recovered from earlier heavy position taking that came about from the GBP movement.

Here is an overall snapshot of the four accounts running. This now includes a Live account running on Majors withAxitrader (pro MT4 account).

I will post more results later.

I did notice the 2GB RAM and 2 CPU VPS is averaging 80% to 90% CPU and 80% RAM utilisation - this is a bit high however the core maths engine driving FXQU_A1 is complex and so in some respect its expected.

Thursday, 15 June 2017

FXQU_A1 Progress Friday 16th June 2017

Its been an interesting past few days.  There was a lot of high impact data come out and some big movement in the FX markets as expected news was not forthcoming.  There were large directional movements across minors and some exotics and this was evident in the performance of FXQU_A1_MME.

Over the next month or two I will be creating higher risk systems (ie 2x up to 5x) and also a G7 major pair system.

FXQU_A1_MME:
- profit was hit as heavy exotics and minor pair positions were taken and then unwound. over the space of a few days
- currently (relatively) low number of positions  are open (approx. 500).
- 10,000 trades completed in 3 weeks.

FXQU_A1_Majors:
- handled the big news items very well.

FXQU_A1_Minors:
coming soon

FXQU_A1 Progress Tuesday 14th June 2017

hi all

I have started to run FXQU_A1 across separate baskets of currencies and will name them accordingly.  The existing FXQU_A1 robot running with GoMarkets will be renamed to FXQU_A1_MME .. the MME stands for Majors Minors exotics ie the 26 pairs that this system is running across covers these three baskets.

I have setup an Axitrader Pro demo account as well now .. this one will be the 10 pairs of Majors only .. and so its named FXQU_A1_Majors.  Another system will be Minors only - will be setup soon.

I have upgraded the VPS to 2GB and 2 CPU .. handles two instances of MT4 and the heavy calcs of the robot's EA engine easily.

Few points:
1) FXQU_A1_Majors on Axitrader Pro is set to 1:400.  Key reason being I am trying to allow a small account of $1000 to be sufficient for this system to be copied.
2) I am running both Go Markets and Axitrader accounts ..  GO Markets are looking to expend into the copy trading feature of myfxbook.
3) FXQU_A1_MME: this a high frequency robot .. between 500 to 1000 trades per day across the 26 pairs.  Even at 1:300 or 400 you will need to have a minimum of $30,000 for a starting balance.

MT4 detailed report extracts as of now:

FXQU_A1 Progress Saturday 10th June 2017

hi All

the week was wrapped up and the EA is still pushing along.  Extract from MT4 report is below.

I am setting up an Axitrader Live account (ECN) and firing up the majors only.  I will post the links to the myfxbook results here once done.  Currently the math calculations for FXQU_A1 and its 26 pairs is close to maxing out the VPS (1 PCU and 1 GB RAM) so either I bulk up the VPS to 2GB and 2 CPU or set up another barebones VPS (on Crucial).  I will see what is best value.
cheers FXQU
PS screenshots from the expert advisor will be posted shortly .. probably not what most expect ;-)

FXQU_A1 Progress Friday 9th June 2017

Morning All

with the UK election producing interesting results and the pound getting pushed around heavily I was looking forward to seeing how FXQU_A1 would handle this.  Here is an extract from the MT4 detailed report .. still going ok.

On a side note I will looking to fire this up on another broker and not Go Markets - the reason being that Go Markets do not offer copy trading! ... and so at present I am leaning towards Axitrader.  I did look at Pepperstone however the number of currency pairs they offer is to limited.

My primary focus is to push FXQU_A1, MT4 and the VPS they are hosted on, to solidify the overall robot's performance ... from there copy trading will be offered - and probably in two groupings: the first will be major pairs only and the second will be a basket of about 20 or 30 pairs ..

that's all for now
cheers

FXQU_A1 progress

Afternoon ... in line with keeping transparency of the progress of FXQU_A1 here is a pic of the chart from the Detailed Report out of MT4.  Also, over the next few days I will try to explain some of the mechanics behind the EA that is FXQU_A1.

enjoy ...

FXQU_A1 stretching out

Another update .. FXQU_A1 is stretching out across the 26 currency pairs and hedging is now appearing across the varying timeframes. This is not unusual since the timeframes being scanned per pair is from 20 minutes right up to a day.

Also with the UK election coming up I will be leaving the EA to push through this regardless of the election result and impending volatility.

catch the results on myfxbook here :

FXQU website

hi everyone

latest news ... I have finally fired up FXQU_A1 and fed it into myfxbook.  Also I have posted the link for this blog onto my main webpage at www.fxqu.com.au.

FXQU_A1 is a MT4 Expert Advisor that is high frequency across 26 trading pairs at the moment - the number of pairs is customisable and each pair is fully independent.

Some stats on FXQU_A1:
- pushing about 500 trades per day
- scans 70 dynamic time frames per currency pair
- each time frame is phase shifted
- take profit and stop loss targets are dynamically created depending on volatility.
- all calculations are performed at 3 second intervals.

Comments:
my current VPS set up is 1GB RAM with 1 CPU and is hosted by Crucial .. FXQU_A1 is CPU intensive due to its maths so its hammering this setup (but good enough for now).
